An excellent way to build confidence and strong swimmers. For children 5 to 18 years of age. Swimmers will be placed in workouts according to age, strength, and experience.
Tryouts will be held Monday, September 18th @ 4:30 PM. When auditioning, swimmer must be able to swim one length of the pool, any stroke, unassisted. Tryouts are only for swimmers who have not participated on Ardmore Family YMCA swim team in the past.
Fall/Winter Swim Team will begin practicing Monday, October 9th from 3:30 - 6:00 PM.
If accepted onto the team, swimmer must have a family or single parent YMCA membership.
Build confidence and improve stroke skills with swim team prep. For kids 7 and up.
Prep classes will meet Tuesday and Thursday 4:00 - 5:00 PM beginning Tuesday, September 12th. Swim team prep ends when swim team begins.
Members and nonmembers are welcome to participate in swim team prep. Fee for prep: $40 members | $65 nonmembers

Gentle exercises are done in shallow water, focusing on the functional movement of daily living, range of motion, and gentle stretching. Although specifically designed for adults living with arthritis, this class is also excellent for beginning or returning exercisers and perfect for pre-surgery or post-surgery strengthening.
A low-impact, medium-intensity class for those with muscle or joint issues. Builds cardio and muscle strength as well as endurance and flexibility.
