The YMCA swim team is currently on hiatus until May 2026. We hope you and your family enjoy the water in our newly remodeled large pool while swim team is on break.
An excellent way to build confidence and strong swimmers. YMCA Swim Team is for children 5 to 18 years of age. Swimmers will be placed in workouts according to age, strength, and experience.
Summer Swim Team tryouts will be announced in April 2026. Swimmers interested in joining the swim team are encouraged to register for SWIM TEAM PREP to help perfect their technique.
When auditioning, swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool, any stroke, unassisted. Tryouts are only for swimmers who have not participated on Ardmore Family YMCA swim team in the past.
If accepted onto the team, swimmer must have a family or single parent YMCA membership.
Build confidence and improve stroke skills with SWIM TEAM PREP. For kids 7 and up.
Prep classes will begin once the swim team has finished their winter season.
Members and nonmembers are welcome to participate in SWIM TEAM PREP. Fee for prep: $40 members | $65 nonmembers
Personal training can offer significant benefits to assist you in reaching your fitness goals. With personal training, the fitness program is designed specifically for you by one of our many certified trainers. With a trainer by your side, you will increase strength, flexibility, endurance, posture, balance, coordination, and cardiovascular health and fitness.
Cancer survivors participate in a no-cost, 12-week customized exercise regimen catered to their individual needs by certified instructors trained in cancer survivorship, post-rehabilitation exercise, and supportive cancer care. LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA helps connect survivors with others affected by cancer, helps survivors physically and mentally, and increases their quality of life. The small group physical activity program uses a private, non-intimidating circuit style training that helps participants build strength, increase endurance, increase flexibility, improve energy levels, and build confidence. LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA is FREE for all participants 18 years and older.
A 55-minute refreshing workout. Each class kicks off with gentle stretching in shallow water, followed by heart-pumping cardio and strength segments. You’ll finish with balance exercises and enhanced stretching to leave you felling revitalized. All fitness levels welcome.
Forty-five minutes of heart pumping, muscle strengthening exercises using a variety of pool fitness equipment. Each class ends with spirited water volleyball fun and finishes with gentle and effective stretches. Perfect for all fitness levels.
