DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Ardmore Family YMCA Summer Day Camp. Our aim for Y summer camp is to create a safe and positive space where your child can continue to learn over the summer break.  Kids will acquire new skills\, form new friendships\, and have tons of fun. They will have the chance to showcase their unique talents in a well-supervised environment\, alongside peers of the same age group.  YMCA summer camp gives children experiences and memories that last a lifetime. \nCAMP DATES: \nMonday\, June 3rd—Friday\, July 26th \nCAMPER AGES: \nBoys and girls 4—11 years of age.  Children are divided into age appropriate activities. \nSTAFF: \nThe staff is chosen based on their good judgment\, maturity\, experience\, and demonstrated ability to interact with children. SUMMARY:Y Summer Day Camp
DESCRIPTION:CAMP DATES: \nMonday\, June 3rd—Friday\, July 26th  7:30 AM – 5:30 PM \nCAMPER AGES: \nBoys and girls 4—11 years of age.  Children are divided into age appropriate activities. \nWHAT TO BRING \n\nSack lunch with a drink and snack\nA reusable\, refillable water bottle; filled with ice and water\nA small tub with your child’s name on it for belongings such as lunch\, swimming suit (labeled)\, and towel\, etc. We recommend all electronic devices be left at home (ipads\, cell phones\, etc.) If your child brings a cell phone to camp\, it will be labeled and left at the front desk in our hanging organizer.\nYour child will need to wear cool\, comfortable\, old play clothes. Depending on activities\, some days they will need to wear tennis shoes. Please no flip flops.\nDo not send anything that might get destroyed\, lost\, or stolen. \n\nTENTATIVE SCHEDULE \n7:30 AM-9:00 AM:         Camp arrival – Free Play \n9:00 AM-9:45 AM:         Opening Circle roll call\, announcements\, exercise \n9:45 AM-11:00 AM:       Small group time\, each group works together with counselors on various activities\, arts and crafts\, or games. \n11:00 AM-11:30 AM:     Lunch: ages 4-6 years \n11:30 AM-12:00 PM:     Lunch: ages 7-11 years \n12:00 PM-1:00 PM:       Quiet time for younger children or preparing for afternoon field trip \n1:00 PM-3:45 PM:         Afternoon field trip or activity \n4:00 PM–4:30 PM:         Snacks and wrap up \n4:30 PM-5:30 PM:         Free time and parent pick-up \nTheme weeks: Activities include Sports\, fitness\, group games\, swimming\, field trips\, drama\, service Learning. A weekly schedule will be ready on Friday for the following week. \nScholarships are available for qualified applicants. Scholarship applications are due by May 28th.
